HP laptop ram and ssd

Greetings, i have a
HP PAVILION DV6-7006ED windows 7 64 bits
My hard disk is working 100% any more.
Is it possible to put a ssd in it and extra ram? If so what type should i be able to put in?

So i succesfully installed the ssd and the software, should i change something in the bios so that it works better together.

If it loads faster than HDD than no! If you successfully installed windows then you have nothing to change.
Congratulations!!! now you have an SSD and a lot faster laptop than before
