HP laptop screen has black spots and colored lines is there a fix

My HP laptop was dropped but screen was still working fine I had to go to the living room and opened it up and saw blackspots white spaces and different color lines on the screen. Can it be fixed or how do I make it booty up with only an external screen ?

Need to check the screen connections to the motherboard and probably change the screen to fix it.

You can just connect a monitor to the system and set it as the only display. You probably want to use a USB keyboard and mouse with it.

Sounds like the LCD is damaged. If you don't get the same effects when connecting an external monitor or TV, then the laptop should be okay otherwise, but the built-in LCD would need to be replaced (not repaired).
