HP notebook 15 crashed with a sound like video card crash then wouldn't open up

I was using my HP notebook 15 when it just crashed with the loud crackling sound that you hear when a video card crashes and I thought this was what happened ... The laptop wouldn't respond so I just used the obvious option of pressing the power button till it shut down .. now the problem is it just wouldn't start .. I tried unplugging the battery and running it using cord power but it still wouldn't do anything when I press the power button... It is under warranty but the shop where I bought it is kinda far away and I don't want to take the long trip when I could have just fixed it at home .. Thanks in advance

It sounds like it is going to need to be looked at. If you were to open it up yourself you would void the warranty, so best to either take it to them, or contact the manufacturer.
