I am not sure if this is the best place for this question. Please move if necessary.

I have an HP 2000 Notebook PC running Windows 8. I would like to downgrade to Windows 7 Pro. I have booted the computer to the DVD drive and I am looking at multiple partitions. I am not sure which partition is the primary system to choose to format and perform a clean install of Windows 7. I did create a system backup so I have the proper recovery of the computer if I need to go back to Windows 8.

I have the following partitions.

Disk 0 Partition 1: WINRE (OEM reserved)
Partition 2: (system)
Partition 3: (msr resserved)
Partition 4: (primary)
Partition 5: (OEM reserved)
Partition 6: RECOVERY (OEM reserved)

Windows cannot be installed to DISK 0: Partition 1-6 see details

Again, I am not sure which partition to choose to perform a clean Windows 7 installation. Also, I will need the proper drivers for WIN7 after the installation.

Solution
If you already did a full backup of the system, then you can delete every partition and create a new one for the Windows 7 installation.

Drivers you would download from HP support site.
