Hi, i have HP PAVILION 15 NOTEBOOK i5-4200U with 2gb 740m nvidia graphic card with 4gb ram
Can i upgrade 4gb more to have a good perfomance in gaming?
If yes,Will 8gb ram make gaming perfomance better than that of 4gb ram for this laptop?
If not, then how to upgrade it to 8gb ram?, plz tell!
Is 4200U better than 3230m?
Actually, is Hp pavilion 15 notebook(i5-4200U) better than HP pavilion 15 notebook(i5-3230m)?

Solution
Increasing your RAM will help you slightly in enhancing gaming performance. You won't see a drastic change in performance, though, as gaming performance is mainly dependent on Graphics card.

i5 3230M is slightly better than i5 4200U, because U-series intel processors are underclocked, to increase battery life.

Overall, for gaming, i5 4200U + GT740M is better than i5 3230M + HD8670M.
HD8670 is a weak Graphics card.

You can see the performance of GT740M in gaming here:
http://www.notebookcheck.net/NVIDIA-GeForce-GT-740M.89900.0.html

As you can see you'll be able to play the games you mentioned at low/medium settings.

So, there is no any advantage of 4th generation on the performance or gaming
Is there not benefit of Intel hd 4400 on gaming as compared to hd 4000?
So can i overclock my laptop performance\ gaming performance to make it better than i5-3230m
and by the way i m able to play the above mentioned game at ultra graphic setting.
No problem is there except heating

Yes, 4th gen are better than corresponding 3rd gens.
But, here, the comparison is in between a 3rd gen i5 M-series & a 4th gen i5 U-series.

i5 4200U is clocked at 1.6 GHz (upto 2.6 GHz Turbo)
i5 3230M is clocked at 2.6 GHz (upto 3.2 GHz Turbo)

You can see the performance list here, base on the benchmarks:
http://www.notebookcheck.net/Intel-Core-i5-3230M-Notebook-Processor.84823.0.html

You can see i5 4200U is much lower in the list. A better comparison will be in-between i5 3230M and i5 4200M (which is better).

In Intel-based laptops with discrete graphics card, the Intel integrated graphics are disabled and the performance is only dependent on the discrete card (GT740M/HD8670 in your case).

You can overclock it a bit, but it's not recommended. The i5 4200U and GT740M is a balanced combination, I think. The Turbo mode of the i5 overclocks it automatically when need arises (like when you're playing a game).

The main benefit of "U" model CPUs is the low power consumption. I think the i5-4200U maxes out at 1.6GHz to keep power consumption low. However, with Turbo Boost it can go up to 2.6GHz if only one core is used or around 2.4GHz if both cores are used.

You cannot overclock laptop with the exception of those laptops with a core i7 "MX" model CPU... which costs about $1,000 just for the CPU itself.

The Intel HD 4400 is a step up from the Intel HD 4000, not sure how much though. The Intel HD 4600 is around 30% (or a little) more powerful than the Intel HD 4000 so the HD 4400 could be around 20% more powerful.

So, if i upgrade 4gb ram to 8gb ram, then it will be a little bit faster
So, which company(ram's company) will be the best one for upgradation of 4gb ram to 8gb ram
And, How to overclock my graphic card/processor for better performance, plzzz tell me "SIR"

Overall HP PAVILION 15 NOTEBOOK i5-4200U with 2gb 740m nvidia graphic card with 4gb ram is better than
HP pavilion 15 notebook i5-3230m with 2gb 8670m amd graphic card with 4gb ram "for gaming performance"

In "dxdiag" my laptop doesn't show "INTEL HD 4400" in DISPLAY option.
It shows "INTEL HD GRAPHIC FAMILY" whereas
In 3230m having "INTEL HD 4000" shows "INTEL HD 4000" in DISPLAY option
WHY IT IS SO?
