HP Pavilion 17-ab051sa 17.3" Laptop - Silver recomendation

I am considering this latpop from pc world now I no what u going to say pc world not usually a place to by from but im on a budget.

I have seen this HP Pavilion 17-ab051sa 17.3" Laptop - Silver and was wondering what people thought hp my sony vaio which im typing on now has served me well but its all of a sudden shutting down and loosing power now having said that it would work for 10 hours stright without shutting down then the next day its at ti again all be it i am in bed usually with it and prob not the best air flow. and I cleaned it out of dust the other days seems to stablise it a bit. But i would have usually bought sony or dell but even a work dell had to be returned three times till it was good enough and stable.

It does sound like good speaks but im just worried as I heard its not wise to go for core processes but this appears to be the new skylark one if my model number memory serves me correct. What is hp build quality like these days my media centre pc is still going strong just never bought one of their laptops.

I usually just software develop on it so it must be nippy at running visual studio community 2015 i was condiersing an asua ROG manchine but i here that brand is phasing out soon for a new brand based on their new Z270 motherboards.

Your post almost gave me cancer... well, made me wall-eyed at least. If I've decrypted your request correctly, we're talking about an HP with these (detailed) specs:

In that case, I would say go for it - and quickly, too. It comes with an IPS panel, which offers superior viewing when using it as a portable device, and the 4GB GTX 960M card will handle most AAA titles (GTA V, Batman: Arkham Knight, MGS V and Tomb Raider to name a few). It may not be considered a serious rival to an ASUS ROG or an MSI, but if your daily routines consist of productivity and gaming in equal measure then this HP is perfect.

In terms of build quality I only have experience with older Pavilions and they seem sturdy and durable enough - perhaps not ThinkPad-grade, but if you can refrain from dropping it onto the floor or slamming it onto a table, I'm sure this HP is going to hold up decently over the next 4-5 years.

And please don't take my opening comment seriously - I just couldn't help smiling when reading your post.

I've been eyeing up the HP Pavilion 17-ab200na Laptop (http/store.hp.com/UKStore/Product.aspx?hpproduct=Z9E10EA%23ABU) and with a 5% off voucher code it's £949.99.

My instinct is yes, but is it worth the extra £50 for the beefed up specs (i7-7700HQ and GTX1050)? (specs at http/support.hp.com/us-en/product/HP-Pavilion---17-ab200na/13810159/model/15234620/document/c05373642)

Amazon messed me around with the MSI pre-order (released 17 Feb, estimated delivery moved to 1 April - April Fools indeed) so I had to start my search again...I'm exceeding my budget a bit with this HP so any advice asap would be much appreciated!
