Yesterday, I used my computer with no problem. Today it is deader than a doornail. No lights, no sound. I changed the power source and it had no effect. Help!!!

Take the battery out and try mains power only.

Not good. Try taking out the RAM stick - there should be a hatch on the base with a tiny icon which looks more like a comb. If there are two,, experiment with one out at a time.

First, remove the hard drive before trying to power up any more times. The start spinning - stop spinning routine could be harming the disk and your personal data.
