Hp pavilion Dv7 17.1 in damaged case

I have a Dv7 laptop and the case is badly damaged. It is become noisy and overheats.
I cannot seem to get a case reasonably priced. Is it possible to transfer to some other case. It is an i5 processor and performs extremely well.
Any ideas or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

You could by a laptop of the same model, not working, of ebay and put the internals of your laptop into it.

However it is not a pleasant job, and if you dont have experience in taking laptops apart you could end up with an unsolvable jizsaw puzzle.
