My laptop say that boot failed
Insert hardisk, in my hp pavilion g sereis

Reseat the HDD, take it out and put it back in. If you still get the same problem then its died. You will need to buy a new drive and reinstall Windows, did you make a copy of the installation media the laptop probably asked you to do when it was new? If no you will need to contact HP who will most likely charge you for a copy.
