HP Pavilion X2 Flashing Caps Lock and Red Charging light.

I've looked this problem up on google many times but I can never find a solution to this.

Whenever I plug in the charger the charging light lights up red. And whenever I press the power on button the caps lock flashes ONCE at me. (I've seen other threads that say it flashes multiple times.) The device doesn't turn on so I cant get the serial number to contact hp support.

Any help would benefit my greatly. Regards.

UPDATE: After leaving the laptop on charge, the red light has changed to white, but whenever I try turning it on I still get the caps lock flash. I have also tried doing hard resets but to no avail.

Second Update: I can now press the power button and the screen flashes black for a split-second then goes away again.
