i recently brought this hp laptop with a broken screen, ive replaced the screen and checked all ports on motherboard to make sure everything is properly connected but the screen is still showing blank, the laptop itself boots up absolutely fine, if anyone could help it would be appreciated thanks

Hi,

Did you also replaced the ribbon cable that connects the LCD to the motherboard because chances are the ribbon cable may be damaged as well. If you already did and, the problem lies in the motherboard itself (Graphics card). Do also try blowing a compressed air on the port where you connect the ribbon cable to on the motherboard and the LCD itself. If all these will not work unfortunately the problem is within the motherboard.

i havnt tried replacing ribon cable yet but i shall give that a go and hopefully it works, thanks for your help
