Coolingfans won't run so laptop over heats and shuts down/

Try blowing out (with a can of compressed air) both the intake and exhaust ports to clear any accumulated dust in your system. If that fails to solve, you may need to disassemble the system for a more thorough cleaning or a possible replacement of the system's heatsink/fan assembly.

either you have a motherboard problem or fans got damaged.

regardless you need to take the laptop apart to verify what the problem is and repair it.

I'd advise you contact HP or local repair shop

As mentioned, you have dust problems and/or mainboard issues.

I would suggest you don't disassemble yourself.

HP can (and probably) refuse service/void warranty.

Take it to an authorized repairer.
