Is it possible to upgrade the HP STREAM 11's RAM or even SSD? I would love to know. So that I could at least add a stick of 2 ram and put in 100gb of storage.

The RAM cannot be upgraded. It's integrated memory. There are no DIMM slots to upgrade with.

The drive isn't upgradeable either as it's an eMMC drive, which is slower than typical SSD drives and has more in common with an SD Flash drive than with an SSD. It's also embedded, meaning it's integrated with the PC board so it can't be removed or changed.

Here are the specs for your unit:

You can however probably add a 32 or 64GB SD card to increase your storage space.

No Upgrades on SSD or RAM period, you can add micro memory class 10. I have this laptop and have added at 32GB Micro flash and all is good. If you need lots of ram or storage you should just look at a better laptop. While the stream is closed it is what it is and at 229.00 a great unit with just enough specs for a lite weight laptop for surfing and office basics.

How did you add the micro flash? I tried a usb flash stick but the hp stream will not recognize it as such.

Luckily that part's easy. The HP Stream notebooks have an integrated MicroSD card slot already, it takes the same kind of little memory card that a lot of mobile phones take. In the Stream 11 it's on the right side of the unit just behind the HDMI & USB ports. On the Stream 13 it's on the left just in front of the headphone jack. It's a spring-loaded slot so you just push the card in all the way and it will sort of "lock" in place. If you want it out just push it in again and the spring mechanism will push it back out for you.

Just look for a Micro-SD card that's 16GB, 32GB, or 64GB and you should be fine. It does work slower than the internal storage so you may only want to use it for daocuments/data, but it will increase your storage space by 2x-3x for $10-$20.

I'm out of space on the laptop for Windows update. I upgraded to Windows 10 when I got it _ only paid $150 cuz I have a friend who works at ABC warehouse. I have a 32GB SD (not a micro) in the slot but as you said, it's only useful for docs/files. All of that is in the 1TB One Drive cloud storage already. I can't see how/where to move files off the laptop to increase space. i thought maybe putting in the SD card would help but I guess not. What can I do?

Greetings, I have the same laptop, and you can use a micro SD card, just get one that's got the space, and speed you want. Really great laptops!

The board has mounting points for two M.2 sockets, one of which is missing components and the other is occupied by a wifi adapter

Is it possible to make bigger my computer C drive? It is only 21.3 GB, it is too small, so I cannot even upgrade window. I have 10 mb of free space. But it is still working, so I want to upgrade it.

Mine is HP Stream x360 Convertible PC 11

IT IS POSSIBLE

But you lose your wifi
I've just seen a YouTube video, replacing the wifi PCI with a mSata PCI board.
Then use a nano USB dongle to put wifi back on, not an elegant solution, but 1 that works

IT Is possible, go to control panel, system, add storage space, follow on-screen instructions. A External Storage is required. -Member of staff, Magnus, Magnus’s Technology Shop.
