[citation][nom]Richard226[/nom]yeah true bit of a let down that. But you can buy the adapter.[/citation]
I got the Toshiba Thrive, so I don't need any adapters. Full size ports rule!

[citation][nom]ikyung[/nom]Does HP really think the Touchpad can be sold for the same price as a Galaxy Tab, ipad2, transformer, etc?[/citation]

[citation][nom]smelly_feet[/nom]hmmm, I see a predatory pricing lawsuit in HP's future....[/citation]

Hey so you guys know that the manufacturer isn't directly responsible for pricing right? I mean the retailer can try and ignore the sale and sell them for whatever they want. Unless HP is selling them directly for 500, not really HP's fault. Retailers don't understand what's going on, so they think "Oh, they sold really fast at 99, I bet we can sell them for more!"

Also, as it's been stated, flyers are printed in advance, if you actually bothered to go to the store they won't actually have any in stock UNLESS the retailer held back it's supply. HP's official stance is they're making more now and it will be at least a couple weeks before they're ready. Anyone signed up for the notifications will probably also be getting a coupon code for 25 percent off other HP products.

[citation][nom]smelly_feet[/nom]Who paid the refund to those who paid full price around that time, HP or the retailers?[/citation]

Probably HP. Retailers will never agree to foot the bill.

Got an e-mail from hp today saying that due to high demand they are still temporarily unavailable and it may be a few weeks before additional stock will be made available. Didnt mention pricing though. Sign me up at the fire sale price, not so interested at full retail.

+1 Chrome, as tablets are barely good enough for browsing/videos and casual gaming I think anyone hitting 200-300$ price mark with good hardware should be able to dent iPad (which somehow always sound like a feminine hygiene product) sales.
