Question Hp Victus can't use nvidia graphix

My younger sister gave a Hp victus i5-11400 2.70ghz 16gm ram 3050ti windows 10 home with broken screen,tried to use it with a diffrent screen by hdmi but it was very slow,after fixing the screen it is still underperforming,notice it doesn't use the nvidia gpu just intel graphix,is it possible to be a hardware issue still? Pls help.ty

Its not broken anymore,she forgot the elfbar on keybord and close the lid,yeah control panel its accesible gpu its visible just can't seem to switch even if I have the option
