The enthusiasts want you to do it, the consumers and you get the benefit from it, you use the WebOS as your new operating system, Palm gets the funding to develop new gorgeous HTC-manufactured handsets which they desperately need, you get the patents and kick Apple's ass, and HTC, you make a killing with all the smart phone market domination.
