Yep, as stated above HTC had a meteoric rise off the back of Android.
Now it is going forward with a decent OS.
WP7 was good to start with, now it is great, lets see some reviews on this unit please.

Looks the same as my HD7, thats 4.3 inch and people are always like "That phones rediculously big" (I like it) not sure, but 4.7inch may be going a bit too far.

It's not mentioned in this article but I hope external storage is supported now. I was surprised at how quick my "16GB" (12GB, rest is reserved) filled up and I have no external storage support.

I had the old HTC Tytan II for few years (and Tytan for brief time), for that time they were great phones, in fact those units were much more stable than any droid I've tried so far, zero crashes or stability issues. Hopefully the new Titan will be just as reliable/stable as well.

Opinions obviously differ regarding O/S....

HTC's meteoric rise with Android was no accident. Good hardware coupled with an open source O/S.

The best thing that happened to my HD2 was finding out that it can boot Android off the SD card.

Yes. Samsung just introduced one, AFAIK.

I don't know how Android and WP handle multi-core. I know on the desktop, for most things single core = multi core. I can't tell the difference between my 6 core Thuban and 2 core Callisto. Not a big deal on the desktop but on the phone, everything I can't use shouldn't be there because of battery life.

Maybe I was too fast in being interested in this HTC Titan. First I should use it to see how it affects my eyes & also the battery power life span.

Makes me wonder how long would you use it between charge, 5 hours? Anybody remember when you won't have to charge your phone for at least two days or a week? I would be very much interested to this phone if it comes with solar charger and a lithium vanadium battery plus o-led display as a bonus, otherwise, its just another gadget that get push over in the next 6 months.

I know what you mean. I added memory to my Focus, but you have to reset it to get it to work (worth it though, 22GB available now (8 + 16))

That screen is huge. While I do appreciate the larger screen (as I can't use smaller ones) 4.7" might be too big to hold by one hand now.

That Titan is sexy from every possible angle- I like it. By the way- it used to be the Evo 4G, what is now the best Android phone out there. There are so many that it's hard to see which is the best of the best.

How boring. Only thing HTC can compete is big ass screens and CPUs. The rest of the packet is garbage. Don't expect any support to your old HTC phones. They are making new models monthly like from an assembly line.
