I just received a Kodakeasyshare c1550 as a gift, the batteries that came with it have lasted 3 days, is this normal?

Depends on how often you use it, how good the batteries are, if they were new batteries.

Without any details you can also ask that you got a car, the gas ran out in a day, is that normal? What you don't say is that you drove 400 miles in that day.
