Well,it depends.
MBP costs more but has more battery life,better LCD and better build quality,whereas the other one is cheaper(I assume?)

That's true if its MBP 13"(Which has a C2D CPU),otherwise MBP 15" and 17" use Core i5/i7 CPUs which are faster.

Another important benefit is that the Samsung is also the more affordable option. I definitely recommend looking into it.
