I have a 2.4b. Have heard of a converter which will unlock hyperthreading. Anyone know where I can find this converter and does it really work?

i hope intel doesn't know what this converter-ht thingy is?

No, the adapter you speak of is for enabling HT on the motherboard, not the CPU. Say you had an older 845 or 645 chipset board with no HT, and a P4 3.06 (the only "B" processor with HT). You could use this adapter (on some boards) to allow the 3.06's HT to work on that board.
