Hyperx Cloud II not working

So my hyperx cloud ii (Brand new), when ever i use the mic and headset with the female to male the right side is really low, litteraly i cant hear anything, but if i dont use the split thing, i can hear normaly.

are you talking about the y-adapter such as one http/www.ironhorsetrading.net/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/kingston-hyperx-Cloud-2-1024x874.jpg ?

if so, have you tried pushing in the cable all the way in case it is not set or pulling it out slightly? it could be a poor plug fit between your case and adapter. have you tried the rear of your pc for plugging in as well to verify?
