Title says it all pretty much.

My local shop took 44% off the SB Evo for Christmas so I've been wondering which headphones are better for gaming since they both cost about the same.

I play on PC and 7.1 is somewhat important for certain games. I don't intend to use either of those headphones outside. I listen to a lot of music and right now the wireless capabilities of Evo seem appealing, although sturdiness of HyperX and the decent-quality mic are good features.

Those are kid's headphones. If you plan on having a decent set of headphones forget "gaming headphones" and stick with the known audio makers. If you want quality rather than bombastic names here's a link to help you out:

I never said I want a headset and I care cery little about the brand. I want good looking headphones that sound good with a budget of 100 euros (no stretch whatsoever) and support 7.1 (or at least 5.1) and these two fit the criterion.

7.1 and 5.1 is a gimmick when it comes to headphones... For example a good pair of stereo Sennheiser headphones when coupled with a decent amp will destroy any 7.1 gaming headset in both sound quality and sound direction accuracy.

Yes and then you end up paying 2x as much for a very minor improvement in sound. For 2.0 to outdo 7.1 in terms of sound direction accuracy in FPS games etc. the price tag will be simply ridiculous for the purpose. Unless you know any that go for about 100 euros that is.

Relevant opinion - Get the ones you like most in terms of appearance. Thats mostly what you'll get anyway...

Also I assume you haven't watched the videos yourself, otherwise you'd know they commended HyperX Cloud

Apparently the cloud is made by beyerdynamic. Had no clue, that changes things a lot. Glad i could be of some help after all
