i accidentally changed the settings on my xbox one from hdmi to dvi. my screen went black imediatly but there is still sound.

get a dvi monitor and plug it into the xbox and change the video out back to hdmi, then plug the xbox in to your tv with the hdmi

Switch to a DVI cable and change it back, unless there is a physical switch/button on that XBOne to let you do that. Don't have one myself, so I wouldn't know. Seems silly that they wouldn't include that though.
