I cant get my phone out of safe mode

I have turned off my phone, removed the battery and I still have the safe mode in the lower left hand corner. what else can I try? its a samsung sch-R920

If you've already exhausted all options, you might have to perform a hard reset. Keep in mind that this will wipe all your data, so you should back it up if possible.

thank you for the response, one more question, how do I do a hard reset? Ive done a factory reset, but its still in safe mode.

Ah, did you? A hard reset and a factory reset might be the same, I'm not entirely sure, but here is a youtube video showing you how to do it:
