i can't get rid of unisales ad.

i looked up at the other forum page and still didn't work for mehttp/www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-2466697/rid.html . i downloaded the adwcleaner but still won't work. anyone know how to get rid of it? is that part of the adblock and adblock plus extension?

i have installed the software and it didn't find any porblems with it. but the ads still pop up. i even deleted the unisales extensions and a couple minutes later, it appears back on there

Assuming you're using Chrome, if Google wants you to have it, you're stuck with it. You already removed the extension and I'm guessing it's right back there now.

I found if I disable these extensions, but don't delete them, they no longer take over the browser. I also clicked developer mode, not sure if that helped or not.

furthermore, if you delete the associated folders listed under the extensions, located in c: program data,they will no longer appear on the extension list, even after restarts.

TY Sega a little trial and error and a lot of luck went a long way with this one. I would imagine the solution is similar is FF, not that familiar with IE, if they even have extensions.

Firefox has then but when you turn them off, they stay turned. Can't comment on IE - I vaguely remember it from the early part of this century.

You just need to go to extensions and remove the unisale extension. That simple.

Dont even know when that got there but well. I removed it and its all good.

Hi, UniSales is an adware program or we say potentially unwanted program that keeps displaying a lot of ads on your computer. To remove it, you can follow the steps below:

1. Check Add/Remove programs in your Control Panel and remove any unknown programs/toolbars.

2. If pages are opening up each time you start up Chrome, check in Wrench > Settings > On Startup > next to the radio button for Open a specific page or set of pages, click on Set pages > remove any unwanted URLs by hovering over the URL until you see an "X" appear to the right side of the URL.

3. If pages are opening up when you click on the Home button, check in Wrench > Settings > Appearance > select the Show Home button checkbox > check if the URL that appears below it references anything unknown.

4. Also check that there are no extensions installed that may be causing these changes. Go to Wrench > Settings > Extensions > if you see any unfamiliar extension that you do not remember installing, try disabling/removing the extension to see it was causing these changes. To disable, uncheck the "Enabled" checkbox next to the extension. To remove, hover over the extension until you see a trash can icon appear, and click on the icon.

5. Press Win + R on your keyboard>type in regedit>hit Enter>click Find...from the registry menu>input Unisales to search for its malicious keys and remove all found items.

6. Go to the local hard disk C to find out and delete any files related to this adware.

May I expand on No. 6, please? As well as looking in c:\users\[yourusername]\localsettings\all three folders, do the same in user\all users because malware hides in there as well.

You can remove Uni-sales ad using Automated UniSales Ad Removal or Manual UniSales Ad Removal. first of all Remove UniSales Extension from your browsers..

I had the same pop up problem. I went to control panel and it was nowhere to be found so I went to my hard drive and in program files I was able to locate the folder, deleted it and then
I opened Firefox
clicked on tools
clicked on addons
Clicked Extensions
Removed Unisales and anything else I didnot need
And it worked

i am the op and i have solved the problem. all i did was uninstall chrome and reinstall it and it never came back.

Thank you drmemory07, i've struggled with this BS for a couple of weeks. I found if I check the Chrome Extensions Settings, I can delege the uNisales extension, yet they come back eabled. However, If I just disabe the uNisales extension, it does indeed stay dormant (would sill like to get rid of it completely however). That said, it does seem to do the trick and pproduce the desired effec

I had tried everything recommended on this forum and still had two versions of this adware: "unisales" and "uenisales". We even purchased the premium version of Malewarebytes and it still didn't find this extension. Two thing I did successfully removed this adware from my machine.

1- I went to the Start button and typed in "regedit" to list the registry keys. If you click and highlight My Computer and do a "Control + F" to find "unisales", it will find the registry keys associated with the program and you can delete them. This, by itself, did not work for me

2-Part of my problem was that windows was configured to not show hidden files, so the "ProgramData" folder wasn't apparent on my C-drive. Go to the Control Panel, click on Appearance and Personalization>Folder Options>View Tab> click on the radial button to view hidden files. Then, when you launch Chrome and go to "More Tools" under the Wrench option and list "Extensions", click on the "Developer Mode" button and it will show you the folder that "Unisales" is associated with. Delete these folders. Once I actually found the folders, I was able to successfully get rid of Unisales in both of its versions..

Easiest method is uninstall/ install Chrome.

Short of downloading further software and the inherent risks, this is a relatively pain-free and very simple option.

Frankly, I still prefer the shortened version of that - uninstall Chrome.
