It would appear that PT LE lacks control of the amount of time per "nudge",
even though the manual makes no mention of this. I can nudge but I don't have
the popup menu to adjust it. AM I missing something, or am i pissed?

You have to increase your screen resolution (it's in the Getting Started
manual).

Yeah, that nudges it but by a preset increment. I was trying to make two
identical tracks, one out of phase with the other, "dissapear" and the nudge
amount was way to coarse for that...

Another poster said something about screen resolution and the Getting Started
manual... maybe he meant that the Nudge value tracks with how far you are
"zoomed in". That'd be serviceable I guess. I'll try that...

Change it to "samples" on the Timeline, then you can nudge by one sample at
a time if you want & knock yourself out.

Defining the Nudge Value
The Nudge value determines how far regions and selections are moved
when nudging. Start and end points for selections can also be moved by
the Nudge value (see "Nudging Selection Start/End Points" on page
246). In addition, regions can be trimmed by the Nudge value (see
"Trimming with Nudge" on page 260).

To set the Nudge value:
1 From the Display menu, select the Time Scale you will use for the
Nudge value.
- or -
To keep the Main Time Scale and use a different time format for the
Nudge value, deselect Follow Main Timebase in the Nudge pop-up menu in
the Edit window.
2 From the Nudge pop-up menu in the Edit window, select the Nudge
value.

To specify a Nudge value not listed in the Nudge pop-up, click in the
Nudge field and type in the
value. Nudge pop-up menu showing Time Code

No - I'm saying you have to change your screen resolution so that the drop
down controls show in the screen.

Right... I read all that in my manual.... but I do not HAVE a Nudge pop up
menu, that I've seen, in my Edit window... the word Nudge does not appear
anywhere in my Edit window. This is Pro Tools LE 6.2.1....

Not trying to be cantankerous... just trying to explain the problem...
THANKS!!!

In PTLE 6.4, it's in the edit window between Grid and Cursor just below the
time display and just above the min:sec; readout on the timeline. Are you on
a Mac or PC?

It's just above the timeline near the middle. Just click on it and type
in a value.
