I connected box to TV as. Instructions say but nothing appears on the screen

OTT TV Box fitted to Toshiba TV HDMI Ready connection, but nothing appears on screen. Have tried sifting through TV Channels, but NOTHIÑG. Help please.

Are you pressing the source/input button? Is the box itself recieving power? Is the HDMI cable securely in?

Is the OTT box is powered up?
Have you selected the correct HDMI input on the TV? Channels don't matter.
Try a different HDMI cable.
Try a different HDMI input on the TV is it has more than one.
Try connecting the box to a different TV. If you TV is 480p or 720p and the box defaults to 1080p it won't show a picture on your old TV. If you connect it to a 1080p TV you may be able to set the box output in the correct resolution for your TV.
