I do not remember my password. Screen is stuck on sign in screen

I forgot my password and the sign in screen will not let me go anywhere elsewhere to reset my password.

sorry but forum rules prohibit anyone from helping with bypassing passwords. we have no way of verifying ownership so the forum just does not go there.

call tech support for the laptop brand itself and maybe they can help
