i downloaded avg and attempted to clean my hard drive etc. my laptop now wont start up properly and my trackpad wont work

my antivirus ran out so i decided to try out avg as i heard good things about it, i went for the free trial, indulged in all it had to offer and now im here unable to use the trackpad or buttons, please help i need my laptop for college!
