I got a 32 GB micro SD card but my phone still says its a 4gb why?

I had a 4gb micro SD chip..... I bought a 32gb but my phone is still saying the original storage space.....(4gb) why????

Weird.

Turn the fone off ... take out the new sdcard and put it back in (they "click" when pushed in properly).

Turn the fone back on.

See if the settings pick it up properly now.
