I got no more phone memory so i put a new sd card in and it says i need to format first will i loose anything like apps photos

As long as you're formatting the new memory card and not the phone memory your apps will be fine

What Jen said the formatting will only affect the memory card everything on the phone will be left as it is now. If it's not a new memory card and you have stuff on it you want to keep just save the content to a pc then put it back onto the card after formatting
