I guess Samsung was wrong about Blu-ray

Marketing folks at huge firms, like Samsung, get it wrong all of the time. Predictions can (and are often) be wrong.

to be honest blueray is still somewhat in its infancy. not everyone owns a bd player yet or buys disks mostly due to the rediculous prices still charged for content. greed of the industry is a huge factor in this. heck, dvd is still around because of the crazy prices charged for bluerays and the fact that most people own a dvd player but not a blueray player.

as far as oled being the next big thing? perhaps however that all depends on the pricing and if they fixed the durability issue they were having with one of the color oleds. chances are lcd is going to be around for quite awhile to come.
