I have a 55 Samsung tv 9 yrs old. I bought a Samsung home theatre and subwoofer

Everything is working fine except the DVDs drawer is jammed and I can't open it. My question is would I be able to buy a new blu ray player smart one and exchange it for the old one. Would it work ? Or would I have to buy a brand new home theatre set complete
