would it be good for a big long videos i have 2 1920x1080 1080p screen, 1 Geforce GTX 550 Ti, i5 2320, 8GB of DDR3 ram, DH67BL BORED, Intel 120GB SSD, 1TB HDD and Win7.

AE doesn't have gpu accelerated final render like premiere does so your i5 will be really slow.

The GTX 550 is not on the whitelist of approved cards for AE CC - http/www.adobe.com/products/aftereffects/tech-specs.html
I'm not saying it won't work with AE CC but that it's not on the list.

They added an update to cc a long time ago to use cards not on the list. It'll have a popup informing you it's not on the list and that it'll still work. You can just add it to the list to get rid of the popup. I can't remember if it pops up every time you start ae. 3d raytracing is not even used by many people anyways. Any of the other gpu acceleration will work on any gpu that supports the correct version of ogl as explained in the link.

After Effects is not good for a long Video but i am going to use it for the menus on my DVDs.
