I have a cable box that has a input coax and a output coax. Can I take the output of the cable box (the coax) and take it to a converter box with an input coax and an output of hdmi to the tv. Will this work?

What type of TV?
What inputs does the TV have?
What outputs does the cable box have?

The RF or coax out of the cable box is usually on channel 3 or 4 so it would not be simple to convert to HDMI (it would not be HD in any case).
