I have a good microphone yet it sounds bad.

So I have had the Razer Kraken Pro headset for about a year now and I have always come to fact with that the microphone is pretty bad. (alot of noise, the "shhhhhhhh" noise)
But just recently I have noticed that when I plug the headset into my phone and record voice thru an app the microphone sounds great.

My suspicion is that there is a problem with the AUX input on my computer. I have also connected my phone with an AUX cable to the computer to play music in-game, then the "noise" is also there.

What can I do to fix this? Do I need to clean out the AUX input?

Sounds like it is the audio input. You could either get an audio card or get a new motherboard?

Another question, are you using the input audio on your case or from your motherboard?

You are trying to use a microphone (low output) with a line (high) input.

Good mics need preamps.
