Basically looking for a non-gaming Laptop with a slot for that, if such a thing exists.

I want to have a gaming laptop but I'd rather not buy an entire brand new one if I don't have to.

dont confuse laptop gpus for desktop gpus....my gtx950 is faster than a 1060 on a laptop, especially after your fan starts,.

buddy your gpu is a soldered in unit. laptops dont have upgradeable parts to change out.

Laptops with MXM video slots are not very common, you need to do some searching for one, eBay, craigslist, etc... No laptop not made for gaming will have such a slot, they were only used in gaming and maybe workstation class laptops.
