I have a laptop with no CD-ROM and no floppy. Hard disk crashed and I need to load operating system. Any idea how i can do it?

Old Compaq, no CD or floppy. Need to install OS, but have no idea how to get it onto the machine. Please give me any ideas that you might have....Thanks so much.

They have USB DVD-RW drives that can plug into USB ports (obviously). They come in handy.

Check with your computer manufacturer-- Dell sells a usb flash drive for reinstalling the operating system on thier
mini 1012 computer for 37.00 "approximatly" and it contains all of the needed drivers as well.
