I have a old Toshiba Satellite laptop and replaced the battery pack. Indicator light stays dark. Does it mean battery not compatible?

No I didn't. Since there was no indicator for battery, I stopped charging it. I guess you suggested I should?

I charged the battery overnight but still no battery indicator light up when I turn the power on...
