I have a RCA Voyager 7 inch I put in a new SD card and set it as default but I can not get anything to download to it?

Well, it will really depend on what version of Android you are using. If you are using Lollipop, which is what that tablet usually comes with, then it won't let you download to the card. Anything pre Marshmallow will not allow it. At least not on a standard device.

If you are able to upgrade the OS to Marshmallow you "may" be able to get it to accept downloads directly to the card. I say may, because there are other factors including if the manufacturer allowed for that feature (or restricted it) also if the system is capable of handling it. Then there is also that some sites, and some files/apps, just will not download to a SD card no matter what you try.

So, again, if you are using an older OS, it won't work.

You can look into, but isn't something I personally recommend, rooting the device. However that would definitely void any warrantee.
