I have a Samsung Galaxy tablet 3 hasn't been used for about a year when charging it only flashes how long do I need to let it charge or does it need a new battery

It probably won't charge at this point, unless the battery is replaced. That is also dependent on nothing else being wrong with it of course.

I appreciate that I've been trying to charge it it acts like it wants to but I believe the battery is shot thanks for your help
