Solved! I have a Sharp flat screen with only a dvd player hooked up and they keep turning off by it's self after playing for about 10

I have a Sharp flat screen with only a dvd player hooked up to it and it turns off after playing for 10 or 15 minutes now neither will turn back on

Move the TV to another outlet. See if it turns on then with nothing connected to it.
