I have a Sony Bravia KDL 40S4100, a Sony HT-CT80 Sound Bar and a Samsung BD-JM57C Blu Ray Player. I cannot get the sound to come out from the Blu Ray to the Sound Bar. I have the HDMI cable from the BR to the TV's HDMI all Digital audio/video Interface. The Sound bar is hooked into the TV by Optical Digital Cable. I have tried everything except standing on my head. HELP!

If you are getting sound from the TV to the soundbar with other sources then try going into the BD player audio menu and changing the output type.
If you are not getting any sound from the TV to the soundbar then your TV may also have a setting like this that you can try.

I tried changing the settings on the BD player. Nothing worked. The back of the BD player only has the HDMI, Internet plug and a digital coaxial plug.
