i have a very bad echo on my laptops mic

this is new, dont know what caused this. but when i plug my turtle beaches 12x into my computer i now get a echo even tho the "hear sound" option in the sound options for the mic is not checked. but when i unplug my mic and use my laptops mic theirs no echo. so i dont know how to stop this. i did everything thing i could find to no revel

windows 8.1
cpu intel i7
1 tb HD
8gb ram
GPU
4000, and Nvidia

Under speaker properties, select the enhancements tab and then check "Disable all enhancements" and this should fix your problem.

it dont help me sadly. i clicked the check mark. i still hear my self when i speek. =(

Hmmmm. I had the exact same issue as you and that fixed it for me. Do the following:

Click on Control Panel

Then click on Hardware and sound

Then click on sound

When the sound panel appears, click on speakers, then click properties

When the speakers properties panel appears, click on the Enhancements tab, once there check "Disable all enhancements"

thanks still fighting this... i might have to switch to a USB head set/ mic T_T (i was trying to have one mic do everything play my ps3/4 360, and my TV plug in and my laptop.. (=( )
