I have a xps dell laptop all lights are on but screen wont come on what can i do

If you can hear the fan and it beeps when you turn it on, and absolutely nothing comes on the screen then monitor is fried.

can you connect an external monitor to your laptop and try with that?

if external monitor works, there's a problem with laptop LCD panel, if external doesn't work too you might have a hardware problem with your laptop that could be ranging from bad GPU, to bad wiring to bad motherboard.

if you determine that it's the laptop LCD that is malfunctioning, get a bright flashlight, start the computer up and shine the bright light at the screen, if you can make anything out on the screen that means your backlight has died. if you can't make out anything at all, then your LCD is faulty and you'll need to replace the whole thing.
