I have reset my password for my Facebook, added a new email address and phone number answered my security question and I still

When I hit log in I type my email address and password, then it says we need to confirm your identity. I click the new email address I add my phone number then it tells me that I will not be able to use my old email that it will be deleted. I click okay. And it doesn't do anything. I've waited 72 hours to log back into Facebook and I have to do it all over again. HELP!
