Question Can get into my facebook account but I don't have a cellphone for verification

ASKING for a Friend.
I can get into my account. I had my facebook account on my old computer for a long time and the password was saved. I don't have a cell phone so I can't get texts. Facebook has my phone number is correct but it's not a cell. I don't see how to get them to send me an email verification instead. Any ideas on how to update my account so it can use my email or phone by sending a code or whatever but not by text.

You CAN or CAN'T get into the account? Only way to get access to an account where the normal forms of communication about the password don't work is with Facebook support. But they are very bad with dealing with issues so don't expect a lot from them.
