According to this page -- http://www.samsung.com/ae/consumer/tv-audio-video/television/led-tv/UA40EH6030RXZN/ Your TV had an optical digital output. That is the best way to get 5.1 audio out of it.

There are only two ways to get 5.1 audio out of a TV. Either an optical output or HDMI with ARC -- https://hometheaterreview.com/everything-you-need-to-know-about-arc-audio-return-channel/ The Samsung website is not clear on if your TV has that. If you don't have an optical output (I may have not zoomed the picture enough on the samsung website), then your only option is ARC. It may not be possible to get 5.1 sound out of that TV.
