i dont get full screen on my lg 3d tv with 1080p movies also. makes no sense. i put it in zoom but theres a huge border still

Horizontal black lines on top and bottom? That is normal if you are playing some movie (that has different aspect ratio than your TV screen). If you are just watching TV program and have this issue, than check the manual.
