I hit an unknown key and it erases all I have typed.

I used to be a fast typist and now I have to slow down because sometimes I start to type and accidentally hit a certain key and it erases all I have typed. There is no way to go back and find where it went, it is just gone. How am I supposed to know which key it is and how can I stop it from happening?

One single key shouldn't do that, but a combo can. However, using undo should restore it (ctrl+y).

Apologies I meant to write "REDO" So when you accidentally lose something written using the CTRL+Y should put back what was just removed.
